Do you have a video on fixing the feed dogs on that same type of machine ? My feed dogs are moving up and down but not back and forth, therefore my fabric is not moving back freely. Appreciate this video, very helpful, thank you.

Just FYI, I bought my 6217c new around 1975? It was made in Brazil also… looks exactly like this. And almost 50 years later it’s still going strong (even though it fell down a flight of stairs!) I need to adjust the tension so thanks so much for this instruction!!

Even set at max, the tension on my machine is too loose. At 1:21, how do you get the tension post to come off? Also how do you get the left side of the machine off to oil it?

I didn’t get to see how you took the tension knob off. It was already off in the video. I’m having trouble now with this model getting the tension cover off so I can clean the discs that totally rusted out.

I had trouble getting my tension until I discovered a trick to find a good starting point. After passing around each tensioner pull the thread out slowly while adjusting the tension tighter and looser. You need a snug tension with all about the same.
